Lauren began volunteering at Cloverleaf in 2022 and quickly became hooked, volunteering regularly and learning as much as possible. She loved spending time with the incredible horses, getting to know the clients, and helping new volunteers feel welcome. In 2024, she officially joined the Cloverleaf team as Communications & Events Associate.

Lauren grew up in a military family and spent her childhood living in many different places. She has been an animal lover and horse enthusiast as long as she can remember. Lauren learned to ride as a child and has gotten back in the saddle as an adult and is having fun with the process.

Lauren graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Human Development and from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master’s in Social Work. She has enjoyed a diverse career journey including roles in social work, human resources, and communications.

When she’s not at Cloverleaf, Lauren enjoys reading, spending time outside, and going on adventures with her rescue hound, Teddy.
