Cloverleaf Board of Directors got a special treat during their January meeting! Tom, one of our therapeutic riding clients, joined the group to discuss his experience at Cloverleaf Equine Center and kept the group in stitches with his joyful and charismatic personality.![]()
Tom has been at Cloverleaf for over 9 years and is a huge fan of the organization and of one particular horse - Henry. “Henry has his good days and bad days just like us,” Tom explains. In fact, he takes notes after every lesson and showed the board one of his notebooks filled with ideas, which he says will make him “be a better rider”. Henry, a teenage Bay horse who always has a glint of mischief in his eye, appeals to Tom because, “he’s fun and feisty, but can be super cooperative and do some tricks.” ![]()
Tom’s mother, Patricia, noted that Cloverleaf’s program has been a wonderful gift to Tom and their family. It has helped his physical and mental well-being by significantly improving his balance and making his outlook on life brighter than ever. In addition, Tom aspired to lose over 60 lbs. of weight, and has kept it off in order to be a better rider. He has fallen totally in love with horses, which shows through his western style attire (including a belt buckle with his initials on it) and the large Encyclopedia of Horses he carries around with him. His mother was appreciative of all Cloverleaf has done for their family and the positive impact it has had on Tom. ![]()
And thank you Tom, for being such an inspiration to all of us!![]()
