Denise began volunteering with Cloverleaf in 2024. In February 2026 she won a Joy Award, which is given to volunteers who work with infectious gratitude, respect, and positivity. Three months later she joined the staff as Executive Assistant. In this role she works directly with and schedules meetings for the Executive Director and Board of Directors, manages various projects for fundraisers, and provides support to the rest of the organization as needed.  

Denise holds a B.A. in Communications from Virginia Tech. She has worked in marketing and communications for more than 20 years across a wide range of businesses including non-profit organizations, corporations, and the government. One of her proudest accomplishments is surviving a year as the PTA President of her children’s elementary school. 

When she’s not at the barn, Denise enjoys gardening, playing tennis, reading, and juggling the chaos of a three-dog-plus-two-teenager household with her husband, Matt.
