Laurie Rodman

Shift Leader

Laurie Rodman was born and raised in Ashland, VA and grew up playing softball, swimming competitively, and riding horses whenever she had the chance. She returned to riding after joining the Equestrian Club at Virginia Tech, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. Laurie was an active member of the club throughout all four years of college and served as Service Chair.

Laurie went on to earn her Master of Public Health Biology from Johns Hopkins University. She has since worked for a biotechnology company developing a cell therapy for Type 1 diabetes.

Outside of work, Laurie enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her two cats, Oshie and Felix.
