Lauren began volunteering at Cloverleaf in 2022 and quickly became hooked, volunteering regularly and learning as much as possible. She loves working with all the amazing horses, building relationships with clients, and helping new volunteers learn. Lauren joined the Cloverleaf staff in October 2024 as the Communications & Events Associate. Lauren calls the farm her happy place and is excited to join the staff and continue to grow her skills!

Lauren grew up in a military family and spent her childhood living in many different places. She has been an animal lover and horse enthusiast as long as she can remember. Lauren began learning to ride as a child and has started riding lessons again as an adult and is having fun with the process.

Lauren graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Human Development and from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master’s in Social Work. She has enjoyed a diverse career journey including roles in social work case management, human resources, and communications. Lauren is passionate about mental health and likes reading, spending time in nature, and walks with her rescue hound, Teddy.
