Kristen Stombres
Program Assistant
Kristen graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Marketing and began her career at in the Office of Administration for the Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of the American Indian. She met her husband, Steve, while at VT and they live in the City of Fairfax where they are raising their three children, Katie, Ellie, and Jimmy and their yellow lab, Murphy.
Kristen became a volunteer at Cloverleaf in the Fall of 2013 helping with horse care and lessons. Quickly Kristen became ingrained in the amazing community of Cloverleaf staff, volunteers, clients, and horses. She began to expand her volunteering into the office, supporting the Cloverleaf team and has recently joined the staff as a part-time Program Assistant.
Kristen’s involvement in Cloverleaf has become a family affair – her husband Steve serves up drinks as the bartender at the annual Polo Classic, and both of her daughters, Katie and Ellie are regular volunteers. Once Jimmy turns 14, he’ll be expected to join the incredible group of people that make Cloverleaf so special.
