Elise Goldwater
Shift Leader
Elise began volunteering at Cloverleaf in 2022 and quickly fell in love with the community, from the clients and horses to the volunteers and staff. Elise joined Cloverleaf in September 2024 as a barn shift leader and an instructor in training.
Elise is currently working towards becoming a PATH Intl. certified therapeutic riding instructor. Her favorite part of Cloverleaf is witnessing the profound impact that its horses and community have on its clients. It is amazing to see how the sense of connection and positive energy radiates beyond the clients, reaching the staff, volunteers, and family members.
Elise was fortunate to start riding at a young age and she competed in hunter/jumpers throughout Northern Ohio though high school, participated in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association, and later joined the Intercollegiate Show Horse Association in college. While studying Economics at Lynchburg College, she spent her summers working in the horse industry and helping on her family’s horse farm. Though her career took her outside the horse industry, her love for riding never waned. She continues to enjoy riding a variety of horses and has recently started learning dressage. In her free time, she also loves traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family and two dogs.
